The WBA was incorporated in July 2007 as the official governing body of wheelchair basketball in Singapore. APSM, is the WBA's strategic consultant and devised the WBA STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN, raised over SGD$95,000 in sponsorship monies. Currently APSM is preparing a public awareness campaign in collaboration with Singapore Universities and Polytechnics as a lead up to the January 2008 Asian Para Games in Thailand.

WBA Singapore - Events
There was an electric atmosphere on Saturday 1st April as the team warmed up for a training session on the Basketball Association of Singapore’s courts, but this would be no ordinary training session as the Handicaps Welfare Association’s wheelchair basketball team prepared for their first training session on an indoor court in a long time.
