United World College U18 Boys challenge combined Perth Wildcats / Sydney Kings Team

A fantastic spectacle and amazing basketball skills were witnessed by the over 500 fans who crammed into the stands at United World College’s Senior Sports Hall on January 25th 2005.

Even though the UWCSEA team were outsized and outperformed by the professional basketball players from the National Basketball League players from Australia, they showed plenty of spirit and skills of their own in what to them was the opportunity of a lifetime.

The players from the Perth Wildcats and Sydney Kings gave everyone who was there to witness this game a sneak preview of what was to come in their up coming game the following Saturday night at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in what would be the first NBL game to be played outside Australia for championship points.

The Perth Wildcats and Sydney Kings players put on a tremendous display, sinking three point shots and slam dunk after dunk and showing incredible ball handling skills.

Just for the record, UWCSEA went down with their pride in tact to the combined team 50 – 72.
